Hello and welcome to another look at some rare Super Mario Bros. pictures.
Here is part one in case you missed it:
We start off with an early one.
One of the first ever sketches drawn of Super Mario himself.
You can see how detailed the animation would be for the time it was made:
Here we have a press release or magazine excerpt of the unreleased/unfinished CD-i version.
There is even a mention of “Zelda’s Adventure” whatever that was, it never happened!
Take a look at the pictures below for actual game screens, you see a whole different universe of Mario goodness.
Pictures from www.insidegamer.nl
Check out the new portal, it took months just to get the basic mechanics to work so they did not have a lot of time to design the levels.
Ooooooh scary faces, it reminds me of Super Mario Bros. 2 on the NES.
Interesting layout of the infamous pipes.
No Super Mario game would be complete without the obligatory ice levels.
Hmmm, not quite sure, a Trojan horse?
Another unique level, with the oddly dressed Koopa‘s
Not quite sure what to say about this either, this was actually a finished level, inside a computer I think?
A little insight into what we missed out on because Nintendo would not play with Sony, hence the PS1 being born.
Now on to some unseen beta pictures, of Super Mario World for the SNES:
I found a great website (and these pictures) for all of your unseen video game needs at http://www.unseen64.net/
Some interesting pictures there. Even at the early stages you can see the level of detail in the game.
So that is all for now, thanks for watching, I will have another set of our fave plumbers unseen exploits soon.
