Hacking Group Takes Credit For Shutting Down Xbox, PlayStation Online Networks

Sony & Microsoft have both been hacked by a group called Lizzard (like the conspiracy theory?)

Pretty poor to be honest, I am a Nintendo fan but this ruined so many children’s Christmas and is not how you get your message across.

CBS Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Gamers who woke up excited Christmas Day to play with their new PlayStations and Xboxes were sorely disappointed to find out that online service was down for the gaming consoles, CBS News reports.

Sony and Microsoft acknowledged that players were unable to sign into the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live:

The issue was first reported Wednesday night and continued into Thursday. The devices’ support sites alerted users that their internet services were “limited” or “offline.”

A hacking group called Lizard Squad has taken credit for the outages on Twitter. Their involvement is not confirmed.

It’s unclear if they’re affiliated with Guardians of Peace, the group who claimed responsibility for the hack on Sony in retaliation for the North Korea satire “The Interview.”

Sony Did Not Get Hacked By North Korea – Experts That Work For The Government Say….

Sony Hacked By North Korea

Yea, apparently it was ONE angry employee, who Sony had seriously peeved off….

Ummm, just one person?  Really?

Also Sony would have obviously known their capabilities so why would Sony pi$$ them off, AND why would they pull the film if it was just an ex employee?

Sorry but it sounds to me like another nonsense and another diversion.  The timing was way too good, plus with all of security experience Sony has it was NOT just some piece of crap who didn’t get paid.

In an insight by Forbes, one Sony employee has gone on to say what it was like, check out the article here.

Spread the word people, we are being lied to AGAIN!

UPDATE – Now the FBI have point blank said that it IS North Korea! It amazes me how quick the story is changed and we are not supposed to notice.

Ni no Kuni Landscape
For the last week I’ve been obsessing over one very intriguing JRPG, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. This title pretty much sand-bagged me. The first time I had ever heard or seen anything about the game was less than a week ago and I’ve already convinced myself that this is a definite purchase.

“I think it will cure cancer,” or “I think world peace will occur,” or even, “It will fix the world economy” are all legitimate claims at this point.

However, the motherload has finally arrived.

A developer choosing to remain anonymous for obvious reasons has spilled the beans on Reddit, giving juicy details about what to expect from the next gen systems.

Buckle up, because it’s fascinating.

The user claims to be an anonymous developer that has worked/had time with both consoles, but obviously is under NDA and can’t release anything too detailed.

The high points, however, are below.
